The map is interactive, allowing users to zoom in or out to see specific areas more clearly. It also includes information on how many acres have been burned, injuries sustained, and road closures. In total, there are 149 fires burning across Montana at this time. The majority of them (122) are small fires that have burned less than 10 acres. However, 15 fires are larger and have burned more than 100 acres.

Despite being one of the most active fire complexes in the United States, 99% of all wildfires in Montana are contained within manageable boundaries.

The land map shows where all the fires are located. The legend tells firefighters which fire is which, and the file lists all the details about each blaze, such as how many acres have been burned, what kind of vegetation is burning, and when it was reported.

Montana is known for its stunningly beautiful landscape, and its wild fires are no exception. The state has a very diverse geography, including mountain ranges, valleys, and prairies. This makes fighting fires difficult because the terrain is so varied. Additionally, Montana’s climate is both hot and dry. These factors make wildfires more severe and destructive in Montana.

One of the unique features of the Montana fire map is that it includes data on both prescribed burns and wild land fires. Prescribed burns help to manage forests by burning unwanted vegetation before it can grow too large, while wild land fires burn natural areas where there is potential for uncontrolled fire growth. This combination of data gives us a better understanding of how wildfires are managed in Montana, as well as which areas are most at risk.

Wildfires across the western United States are becoming more severe, and new methods for fighting them are being developed. A recent study has found that fires in Montana have become larger and more destructive in recent years because of changing weather patterns. The study warns that if the trend continues, the state could face a “mega fire” that would be difficult to extinguish.

The most recent fire, which started on July 2nd and burned over 350 acres, was particularly damaging due to high winds and extremely dry conditions. In total, wildfires across Montana have burned over 4,000 acres this year – nearly double the amount from last year.
